A Little Yarn Can Go a Long Way #MicroblogMondays

December 5, 2016 by Jennifer 3 Comments

A little yarn can go a long way.

A skein of yarn becomes a tool to teach coping skills to prison inmates.

A thrift store provides a space to display items the inmates donate.

Customers purchase items made by the inmates.

The thrift store earmarks that money to support child advocacy centers and domestic violence shelters.

A skein of yarn purchases snacks and food for families who visit child advocacy centers.

A skein of yarn supports a domestic violence shelter.

A $5 ball of acrylic yarn exponentially increases in value when placed in the hands of the right people.
