Remember a couple of weeks ago when I was feeling a little flumpfty? To lift my spirits, I decided to hook up a little lemon. Just as a reminder to make lemonade out of all of the lemons that kept dropping into my yard.
She turned out a little sour, just like me.
I decided to make her a little lemony friend. I thought that might cheer her up.
Her friend encouraged her to look on the bright side of things. And to find ways to turn challenges into positive things. And to be grateful for all of the very good things that already are. She is a very good friend indeed!
They rolled into my lap one night while I was watching t.v. and asked to have a chat. They wanted me to know their highest purpose was to become glorious, delicious, tarty sweet lemonade. Many lemons dream of being lemonade when they grow up. Did you know that? Amazing!
So I made them a glass of lemonade to hang out in.
Designing this pattern carried me through a really rough spot and I can’t help but smile every time I see these little lemons hanging around. I hope they make you smile, too!
I want to make lemons! Where can I find this pattern!?!?!
The pattern is listed in my Etsy shop, which has been in sleep mode for a lonnnng time. I’m so glad to be able to revive it because I have met so many lovely, creative people there over the years! It will be over on Ravelry today, too! =)
I’d love it if you liked/shared these lemons, or even better, made a little lemon family for a friend who is having a tough go right now. It’s wonderful how helping other people has a way of making yourself feel better too.
Are you LOVING all of the lemony things popping up everywhere this season? I am on the hunt for the perfect fabric to make a cute citrusy skirt for the summer…and when I was looking around on Etsy I found all of these things! That blueberry lemon bubble bath looks pretty amazing!

Those lemons are so adorable! You are so very talented. Can’t wait to see the citrusy skirt you’re going to make.
Oh thank you! *blushing* I try lol! I am dying for some time to sneak off to the fabric shop!
What a cute idea! I keep telling myself I am going to crochet some balls and fruits and things for my little one…one day I actually will!
Thanks, Stazi! You can do it! It’s so hard to find time, though, right?!?
