Fast Forward a Year

September 20, 2014 by Jennifer Leave a Comment

Spread the love ❤️

So funny!  I plan, and the universe laughs!  Back on October 4, when I last posted (almost a year ago!), I had no idea about all of the awesome (and some not so awesome) things in store for me and my little family over the next 12 months.  In one sentence:  ughexdrama divorce engagement teenager diyoutdoorwedding honeymoon kiddosurgery work teenager.  Fingers crossed the whack-a-mole whirly-swirly Tasmanian devil that life has been is over, and we can all get back into our proper places and enjoy creating and writing and photographing and doing happy things.

There has been some making, just a wee bit.  And some stretching of my wings where I took up sewing plushie monsters because I suppose that is where my head was at for a time.  It was great therapy to make my brain do something new.

Spumoni Monster

So here are Skellyton and Lacty.  Skellyton enjoys snacking on forest fairies.  Lacty LOVES spumoni, but is sadly lactose intolerant so it doesn’t agree with his tummy.

And as I dig through my photos…I made a lot of photos.  And perhaps there was more making than I give myself credit for.

2013 2014 Makes

There was Chummy and Mrs. Happy New Year and tie-dyed shirts in Jamaica and monster knees and playing with Playdoh and the awesome glowy reflective pumpkin hat and the epic tiger costume for the school play.  So many things!  I should really try to give myself a little more credit.

But more than anything else, we made lots of memories this year.

MemoriesEspecially at 6:30 in the morning at the beach when all in the house were soundly sleeping but little man and I.  *yawn*
