“I’m running away,” he says. “I’m going to find a new family. I hate this one.”
He stomps upstairs and starts packing his bag.
“Where are you going?”
“New York City. I’m going to go live at the top of the Umpire State Building.”
When my kiddo told me he was ready to pack his bags and run away from home, I did what any normal parent would do and freaked out (internally). When he actually packed his bags and started looking for his shoes…this mama bear learned something new and I am so grateful for the lesson. I have a feeling I’m going to need to refer back to this one in the future. 😉
