The year of “this didn’t turn out quite how I planned it.” And, “that’s going to be more expensive than I thought it would be.” And, “surprise! But not in a good way!” Also, “everyone is sick all of the time in ways that require hospital visits and/or specialists.”
In short, if 2015 had a mantra it would be FUCK FUCK FUCKETY FUCK.
I feel like our family didn’t do a single fun thing ever it was just a lot of work, stress and upset, and falling into bed at the end of the day wishing it were all over. For an entire fucking year. Which is a terrible way to go through life for reals y’all.
But when I was cleaning up my photo files the other day (a year end ritual for me), I found that my memories are a lie. We DID TOO have fun. We did things. We went places. We celebrated many, many milestones and big life changes. We survived this year!!
It is the tiny little moments that make a life, and I am so glad I took a few seconds to whip out the camera here and there.
